The Pageant is a tiered venue with the dance floor at the lowest level, followed by the 1st Tier and 2nd Tiers which are elevated approximately two feet from the level below. The Pageant was built from the ground up specifically to accomodate a music venue, allowing every seat/standing area to be within 70 feet of the stage. Every seat is a good seat at The Pageant!
Most shows are set up with the Main Floor General Admission and Reserved Balcony unless otherwise noted on the SHOWS page. Click each map for a larger view. |
|
GENERAL ADMISSION
General Admission (GA) seating is set up in a cabaret style with tables, chairs, and bar stools. Standing may be necessary if all seats are taken.
Minors (those under 21) must be physically seperated from alcohol; therefore, GA Seating may be set up four different ways, depending on the amount of minors expected: (Main Floor Set-Up, Balcony is 21+)
Right Side, Dance Floor: most common set up. Minors are allowed on the right side of the venue and on the dance floor. see map
Right Side Only: mostly over 21 crowd. Minors are allowed on the right side of the venue only. see map
Small Bowtie: mostly under 21 crowd. Minors are allowed on the right side, dance floor, left side, and 1st tier in the middle section. see map
Large Bowtie: mostly under 21 crowd. Minors are allowed everywhere except directly in front of the Main Bar. see map
Venue set up is normally not determined until 1 week prior to the show, but may change on the day of the show. Remember: Alcohol is prohibited in the minor sections. Minors are prohibited in the alcohol sections.

RESERVED BALCONY
Balcony seating is reserved unless otherwise noted on the SHOWS page. In addition, the Balcony is 21+ unless otherwise noted. The Balcony is not open for every show. Please visit the SHOWS page for specific show information. |
|
RESERVED MAIN FLOOR
Reserved shows will be noted on the SHOWS page. Minors (those under 21) are not restricted to any section during reserved shows. The Balcony is usually All Ages during reserved shows; however, please visit the SHOWS page for specifics. |

Where can I buy tickets to events at The Pageant?
Please visit the TICKET INFO section.
Can I call The Pageant Box Office to purchase tickets?
No, The Pageant Box Office does not accept phone orders. You may order tickets via phone through Ticketmaster at 1-800-745-3000.
How does Will Call ticketing work?
Please visit the TICKET INFO section.
What does it mean to have a “General Admission” ticket?
A limited number of tables, chairs, and stools are available for General Admission (GA). Seating is on a first come basis. GA tickets may require you to stand if all seats are taken. Please see the MAPS for General Admission venue set up. You may notice that your GA ticket has numbers appearing in the “row” and “seating” lines on the ticket. These numbers do not represent a specific seat, as they are used for Ticketmaster’s tracking purposes only. General Admission tickets will show "GA-LTD SEATING" or "GA" on the ticket.
Are there places to sit at The Pageant?
Seating arrangements are based on the type of event and are determined on a show by show basis. Please see the VENUE MAPS for more information.
What time should I arrive to get a good place to see the show?
The Pageant is designed so that everyone inside the venue can easily see the stage. Seating depends on the individual show. If you are 21 years old or older, you are able to take advantage of Early Entry through the Halo Bar. If you are under 21, Suite 100 also provides an Early Entry. For a sold out show, it is not uncommon for lines to form outside early in the day. Other times, you could arrive at show time and still find a preferred spot. It is really up to each person attending the event and their personal preference.
How can I take advantage of Suite 100 and Halo Bar’s “Early Entry”?
Early Entry allows you to enter the venue prior to main doors. Please visit the Suite 100 (for those under 21) and Halo Bar (for those over 21) page for information on Early Entry.
What should I do if I have special needs?
Please contact The Pageant Box Office (314.726.6161) prior to the day of the event if you need to make special arrangements (disabled seating, etc.). Please give us as much advance notice as possible so we have time to respond to your request.
Why is the balcony only open for certain shows?
The Balcony is open on a show-by-show basis depending on the Artist and expected show attendance. This information is known as soon as the tickets go onsale. Please see the SHOWS page to determine if the Balcony is open or closed. It is possible for the Balcony to initially be closed, but later opened if ticket sales are beyond expectations. In this case, the Balcony will be GA.
What does “Sold Out” mean?
When a show is sold out, it means there are no longer tickets available. If you haven’t already purchased tickets, you will not be able to attend the sold out show. Unlike some venues, we do not usually hold back tickets for release at the last minute.
What happens if I don’t have my ticket with me when I arrive for the show?
Everyone must have a valid ticket in order to enter The Pageant. If your ticket was purchased by phone or on-line with Ticketmaster, and you are the person who purchased the ticket, there is a chance that we can find it in the system. Please proceed to The Pageant Box Office for assistance. However, if your ticket was purchased at a Ticketmaster outlet or The Pageant Box Office there is no record which ties the purchase to you personally. You will need to purchase another ticket if you are unable to retrieve your original ticket, but please be aware that if the event is sold out you will not be able to purchase additional tickets.
Why can I smoke at some events, but not at others?
Please see our HOUSE POLICIES.
Are credit and debit cards accepted at the bar? How about at the merchandise booth?
Credit and Debit Cards are gladly accepted in both the Halo Bar and the bars inside The Pageant along with a matching photo ID. Whether or not band merchandise accepts debit/credit cards depends on the individual artist. ATM machines are located inside the merchandise room (Suite 100), The Pageant, Halo Bar, and The Pageant Box Office.
I used my debit card at the bar. Why is my transaction reflecting an incorrect amount?
When credit and debit cards are used at the bars, our system initially preauthorizes $25.00 to verify funds are available. It continues to preauthorize funds as your tab accumulates. Once the tab is closed, The Pageant releases the excess funds and processes the transaction for the accurate amount. However it can take your bank a few days to process the release of funds which is why it may look as if the incorrect amount was charged to your account. Your account should clear up in a few days.
What happens if I leave my credit or debit card at the bar?
All open tabs that are left at the bar after closing are charged to the card we are holding including a gratuity of 18% rounded to the nearest quarter . We will hold your card and receipt for thirty days during which you can retrieve them at Suite 100 (M-F 10am-7pm; Sat 11am-7pm) or Halo Bar (Wed-Sat 7pm-3am; Sun 10pm-3am) with a matching photo ID.
Is food available in The Pageant and/or The Halo Bar?
The Pageant and Halo Bar sell packaged snacks (pretzels, peanuts, chips), but this is the extent of the food we carry. Customers are able to bring food (no drinks) into both The Pageant and Halo Bar, or have it delivered to the Halo Bar. The Halo Bar has a menu book of local restaurants. You may also visit the LINKS section or the Visit The Loop website for additional information.
What is the “minor surcharge”?
The minor surcharge is a $2.00 fee collected at the door on most shows from patrons who are under the age of 21. Since we incur additional expenses presenting “all ages” events, this fee helps us offset these costs and continue to provide entertainment for all.
Can I rent The Pageant and/or The Halo Bar for private events?
YES! Please visit the RENTAL page for more information.

The Pageant and staff want to assure our customers that we strive to make your visit a safe and pleasurable experience. Built in 2000, The Pageant is constructed of fire-rated materials that meet or exceed all modern fire and assembly codes. At The Pageant, you are always within 75 feet of an exit. Exits are clearly marked and located at every corner of the building on both levels. In the unlikely event an incident occurs, stay calm and proceed to the NEAREST fire exit rather than retracing your steps to the entrance. |
