Playadors are a musical force that effortlessly blends genres, creating a sound that is both nostalgic and refreshingly unique. Led by the multi-talented Dave Grelle, this collective of top flight musicians takes listeners on a sonic journey that transcends boundaries.

With a deep-rooted love for jazz, funk, and soul, Playadors infuse their music with infectious grooves, intricate melodies, and soulful vocals. Their sound is a melting pot of influences, drawing inspiration from the likes of Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan, Prince, and Parliament Funkadelic… as well as riff rockers Led Zeppelin and Thin Lizzy… all while adding their own modern twist.

Grelle, a masterful keyboardist, composer and musical director, leads the charge with an ability to effortlessly switch between genres, captivating audiences and leaving them craving more.

About Tomar & The FCs

Tomar Williams got his start singing lead on the Chitlin Circuit with his family band in the late 1980s. In 2015, after several decades as a music producer and side man, Tomar decided to return to his roots as a frontman. He was introduced to a local instrumental band, the FCs, and Tomar and the FCs was born.

Over the last decade, the band has earned a reputation as one of Austin’s best live bands with regular performances at iconic venues like the Continental Club, C-Boys, and Antone’s and multiple Austin Music Awards. They have toured all over the country and have performed at ACL Music Festival, Old Settlers Music Festival, River Revival, SXSW, and Bonnaroo.

Tomar and the FCs have three recordings, the EP Day by Day, and albums Heart Attack and Rise Above. Their third full length album, Soul Searching, was released on 2/28/25.
